About Jingle Jamz Festival

Jingle Jamz was born in 2020 in the small town of Cankton, Louisiana, during a time when the world felt uncertain and many families were facing hardships. What began as a simple idea  - to create a holiday event filled with music, joy, and community spirit - quickly became something much bigger. The very first Jingle Jamz brought together neighbors, local musicians, and families who shared a common purpose: to spread Christmas cheer and lend a helping hand to those in need. Even in its earliest days, the festival had magic about it, with the sound of holiday music filling the air, children laughing, and volunteers  working hard to make sure families felt loved and supported. 

For three years, Cankton was the heart of Jingle Jamz. Each December, the little town lit up with holiday spirit as the festival grew year after year. More families joined more musicians took the stage, and more sponsors came forward to support our mission, Gumbo pots bubbled,  Christmas lights twinkled, and the community gathered not just for fun, but for a greater purpose - to make sure every child had something under the tree and every family felt warmth of the season. 

By 2023, Jingle Jamz had outgrown its first home. The crowds were larger, the activities more plentiful, and the need to expand became clear. That year, the festival made the move to Rayne, Louisiana, a city known for its welcoming spirit and love of community events. With the move came more opportunities - more space fro families to gather, bigger stage for live music, more vendors and cook teams, and even more ways to give back to Acadiana families during the holidays. 

Though the location changed, the heart of Jingle Jamz remained the same. From its humble beginnings in Cankton to its new chapter in Rayne, the festival has never lost sight of its mission: to spread joy while helping families in need. It continues to grow each year, bringing together pageants, gumbo cook-offs, live performances , vendors, and countless moments of holiday magic. 

Today, Jingle Jamz stands as more thane just a festival - it's a tradition rooted in giving, music, and community. It's a reminder that when people come together with generosity and love, they can create something truly special. From a small-town gathering to a weekend-long event, Jingle Jamz has become a cherished part of holiday season in Acadiana, and its story is still being written year after year.
